Butternut (formerly part of Bencher, now belonging to DX-Engineering) manufactures HF antennas since 1981. The multiband verticals work very efficiently, also on the low bands. Due to it's robust construction and simple setup, the HF-6V and HF-9BV are among the most popular all-purpose antennas for DX-peditions.The vertical antennas require a ground radial network which is crucial for proper operation. All adjustment points are on the lower part of the antenna and easily reachable, hence facilitating the alignment. The antennas can be mounted on ground or in an elevated position. Any 50Ω coax feed of any length can be used.
Max. power load is 2KW PEP at 80/40/20/15/10m, 500 W PEP on 30/6m, 800 W PEP on 17 and 12m.
