Technical description

New type of windom antenna with feed at the end!

In contrast to most end-fed antennas, city windoms do not have a high-impedance and frequency-dependent matching circuit at the feed point. They are physically end-fed, but electrically center-fed like a normal windom antenna. Therefore they behave exactly like windo antennas: Resonant on 80/40/20/17/12/10m or 40/20/17/12/10m, feed point with low impedance, undisturbed directivity pattern. The antennas do not need a guy point in the middle! So they can be easily tensioned away from the window to an opposite point (tree or house etc.).

Application description

The 'big' City Windom (art-no. 11395.80) has a total length of 40m and works on the bands 80/40/20/17/12/10m without tuner; operation on 15m is as with every windom antenna only possible with compromises and tuner.

The smaller model (item no. 11395.40) has a length of 20m and covers the bands 40/20/10m without tuner, 17/12m with tuner.

Supplied complete with insulated eggs for suspension, 1:6 balun and sheath wave trap at the feed point and 5m connection cable with PL connector.
